In 2006, our team decided it was time to do more with the business and more with our skills. Colorado Dimensional Signs, takes it's name from the time honored techniques and skilled traditions of carved signs found throughout the United States. This style of beautiful and unique signs has previously been widely unavailable throughout Australia. The influences of "Masters" such as Mike Stevens, Gary Anderson, Mike Jackson, John Jordon, Shane Durnford, and other traditional sign craftsmen, have aligned us with the style of those that have for decades, set the standard in this style of highly admired signage.
There are many sign companies to choose from today. But the key is to ask yourself if a sign company will show you or your company in it's best light. Our job is to make you look great. Whether you are looking for a unique way to introduce your business, church, school, or property; each of our signs are custom designed insurable works of art, that will be eye catching, appealing, and certainly a talking point. At Colorado Dimensional, we can and do.
Colorado Dimensional can work from your sketches or digital files, or our own sign artists can create your sign from concept. We use quality substrates which can be painted, hand carved, machine routed, engraved, gilded, painted or stained, depending on your design needs. This can include but certainly not limited to: High Density Urethane (HDU), Aluminium Composite, Aluminium, MDF, Acrylic, and a range of quality local and imported timbers.
Our primary substrate is HDU, or high Density Urethane, a relatively new product to the Australian market. Once coated, it will not break down, crack, or shrink. It is water, rot, and insect proof. It is 100% stable in the harshest of Australian conditions. It is ideal for the extremes of humidity and heat of the north, to the salt air of the east, and cool and snow of the south.
Our custom signs are hand painted, sprayed, roilled, or airbrushed with the use of high grade paints, stains and finishes, from quality companies such as Dulux, Solver, PPG, and Feast Watson. We also widely use the process of gilding using 23.5 karat Australian gold. A treasured practise of times past, Gold lasts for decades and the luster and beauty incomparable.
A quotation and general design proposal will be provided to potential clients after an initial telephone consultation. All designs are submitted by either email or fax for approval before production begins. Being a quality product, we have a design fee. Design fees begin at $250 + GST, are separate to signage costs and may be amended up to 7 times without additional charge. Our signs carry a full 1 year warranty.
Overall cost allowances will vary from project to project, but thought must be given to the fact that all our signs are one off and uniquely tailored to your needs. Frames, mounting hardware and installation are additional and can vary greatly, as do location, transport, and installation required. A full copy of conditions are available by simply requesting via email on our contact page.
